My objection is not so much to the cameras, but to the allowed usage and length of time info is stored (another ambiguous, vague and overwritten M.B. policy). Council should also be evaluating storage costs, storage energy usage, software costs, and effectiveness in stopping/solving MANHATTAN BEACH crime (instead of just helping MBPD arrest rates for cars passing through). Present and review the whole package.
