Please allow Restaurants to use the parking places in front of their restaurants for outdoor seating until we have a vaccine.
Please consider closing certain downtown streets for spacious walk traffic on weekend and evenings.
Our restaurants are in trouble and we have to help them and our citizens be safe.

Please consider building an accessible wheelchair and stroller path across the sand from the strand . A family with a child in a chair cannot enjoy a day at the beach which is embarrassing for a progressive city like ours. It’s time, it does not have to be more than few squares of raised wood planks put together across the sand. We carried my son and all the gear across when he was younger now we are deprived from having a nice day at the beach. Do it this week while the beach is closed?

Let’s show some compassion and open public restrooms. This current restriction seems especially cruel and impacts everyone who ventures outside. The policy also disparately impacts our aging population and those with health concerns. It encourages dehydration and the myriad of ensuing health impacts. And given the safer-at-home order and the closure of non-essential businesses, the only places to relieve one’s self are at home and work. Please consider this in all future measures/motions.

Regarding the request to use alternates to Ocean Drive: Manhattan Ave would be a great alternative - wide sidewalks and a bike lane. Unfortunately residents park their cars in the sidewalks requiring pedestrians to pass closely or walk in the bike lane. Could residents be required to park elsewhere until the Strand reopens? Most of the homes have 2- or 3-car-garages.

I saw the signs today on Ocean Ave regarding bikes taking alternate routes. I was wondering what alternate routes were in mind, specifically between 15th and Marine, where Manhattan Ave doesn't run. Has MB considered following many other cities (ie, Oakland, Mexico City, etc) and installing temporary bike lanes, ie on Highland? Especially with the continued beach path closure, there's no good way for us to get to our essential jobs without risking our lives w poor remaining infrastructure.

Can you please consider publishing a bar graph of new cases by day so we can see our curve here in Manhattan Beach, as well as adding the same for the number of hospitalizations? Looks like we went from 27 to 65 cases over the last month. That's a little over 1.2 new cases per day for a population of about 35,000. Please consider allowing those who feel ready to get back back to work, open their businesses and allow our kids to finish out their school year on campus.

Thank goodness some progress toward opening the beach. The face mask idea is not necessary (or realistic? -- exercising, walking briskly, jogging on the beach)

If "additional measures" include a requirement to ware masks I consider that an unnecessary intrusion into the lives of Manhattan Beach residents that is not scientifically sound.

We were told that the stay home order was to flatten the curve so that hospitals and government could prepare for the inevitable. We need to get back to work, get back to the beach and get back to healthy outdoor living. Its time.

First off the Stay at home order was to flatten the curve, not prevent all infections or deaths. CDC recommends face coverings in public settings where other social distancing is difficult to maintain, especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.Wearing face coverings in Manhattan Beach in open areas is not science based. We do not have a high rate of transmission and we have space, therefore masks should not be required in polliwog park.

Please immediately create signs to put stationary at various locations on Ocean Drive, reminding people they are walking through neighborhoods and to be respectful of noise levels with loud talking, loud music, as well as not to enter private property. You’re killing us down here allowing our neighborhood seven days a week to be overrun by people potentially spreading corona, and not having any respect or neighborly courtesy whatsoever 5am to 10pm. No one would want this in their neighborhood.
