We want City Council to be guided by the science and the medical experts, not by politics. We want our schools OPEN after summer break. Whatever the best path to ensure this is critical. The virtual lessons being provided by MCHS for our sophomore are pointless. This had been a significant failing. If whatever measures you decide to take increase the risk of NOT being able to open schools in the fall, please do not dismiss that risk. Parents are counting on you for the future of our kids.
Please make signs for ocean drive reminding people it is a residential area, to be mindful of the volume of their voices and music, to please not enter private property, and to be respectful as if it is their neighborhood. We know you guys are going to do nothing to stop the crowds that don’t social distance, at least you can try to give us a tiny bit of peace. We now deal with it until midnight because of the blue waves.
