I would like to take a moment to thank and recognize the emotional labor and physical energy that the Black folks on this panel have performed to educate white and non-Black folks on the white supremacist violence they have perpetuated. If we are to truly unearth white supremacy, we must recognize that white folks have silenced the experiences of Black & Indigenous people since colonization began. To City Council, how are you holding yourself accountable for your own racist actions and beliefs?
