Restaurants in MB are struggling to operate under extreme, uncertain conditions. Reopening under restricted capacity, understandably, spending ten of thousands of dollars to reopen safely, eats up any profit potential. Some owners i've talked to fear losing $1 million or more this year. So I question the wisdom of placing an additional burden on an already strained back, by asking restaurants to pay back the lost meter revenue. Our restaurants are important to the city and visitors. Help them!
