Individually and as the representative of the Downtown Residents Group, I oppose the street closures on Manhattan Avenue. This past weekend was a complete disaster, with loss of ingress and egress to residences and danger exiting garages,, up to half hour times to get from residences to where the traffic congestion eased, dangerous conditions for emergency vehicles, etc. Everyone has been bending over backwards to help the restaurants, but this is simply a harmful, imbalanced line too far.
