The electricity this system generates is for the benefit of CPA- it cannot be used by the City of Manhattan Beach to significantly lower our electricity costs.

I listened to the last presentation and it did not sound like Joslyn was the best choice, it sounded like there were not good locations for the panels.

Per the red cross, we should plan to take care of ourselves for 72 hours it does not seem that the Solar+storage system will meet emergency preparedness needs of the city. The presentation states it will power facility, but what about medical devices that the community might need?

Joslyn Center already has a back up power generator which is fueled by diesel. It will last longer and produce more power than the four hours proposed by the Power Ready Program.

I do not like the idea of giving public land to a private operator and residents do not get an on going benefit

In 20 years there will be technology improvements, I suggest waiting for 5-10 years and re evaluating.
