Consideration of a Resolution Approving Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Civic Solutions, Inc. for Professional Planning Services for the Community Development Department at a Cost Not-to-Exceed $148,950 (Community Development Director Tai).

I will not be able to attend this evening. The questions I suggest be asked include:
* How long has this position been open?
* Is this a long-term position opening or is it expected to end in 6-7 months? The math on the budget request is $148,950 at $130/hr which is funding for 28.6 weeks at 40 hrs/week.
* What is the cost differential between an outsourced associate planner and an internal hire? i.e., what is the additional cost per week or month of using the outsourced associate planner?
* Has Civic Solutions given guarantees that the associate planner assigned will be kept at City MB? i.e., if there is any transition then to cost of training/orientation should be borne by City Solutions.
* What is the status from HR on finding someone to fill the open position?
