9. 23-0384 Consideration of a Resolution Approving a Comprehensive Citywide Salary Schedule for all City Positions and Adjustments to Salary Ranges (Human Resources Director Jenkins).
ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 23-0116
I fully support keeping our city employees at market salaries or slightly better to ensure we have a strong team. However, I did not see discussion on 1) what was the % increase in compensation, and 2) how this compares to the market for these roles.
I looked at the fiscal year quarter to quarter report and see salaries and wages increased from $8,412,159 to $9,235,766 which is a 9.8% increase. I realize that this analysis does not include many factors. Nevertheless, it does indicate that further sharing of data is warranted. Need more information to be able to oppose or support.
