City Council should please reconsider it's approval of the 28th Street Infiltration project in light of the recent Heal the Bay announcement that the 28th Street Beach has been awarded an A+ and Honor Roll status in their Annual Beach Report Card. This affirmation from the mostly highly regarded "water quality monitor", evidences how understudied, analyzed and understood this Project is. To drop this Project in the lap of 1000's of MB residents who are virtually in the dark about why and what this project is about, let alone the significant prolonged disruption in their daily lives which will occur, is inappropriate. The City is in compliance with the water quality standards, 28th Street is an A+ Beach but yet Council wants to proceed with this risky, little understood and massively disruptive Project. The case supporting this Project is certainly elusive, hopefully, common sense will prevail and it will be shelved permanently.
