After losing two students in separate high-speed drunk-driving crashes last year, we are committed to turning loss into action. When multiple people are driving 80–100 mph on a 35 mph road, we can all agree the system is failing. As students and members of this community, we ask that you help make Sepulveda Boulevard safer. We suggest:

    1. Late-night "all red" cycles (10 pm - 5 am).
    2. Speed cameras enforced overnight on Sepulveda.
    3. Targeted late-night patrols on Sepulveda.
    4. More DUI checkpoints throughout the year, and always during local events such as Beachlife, Fourth of July, and New Year's.

The road design and signal system are allowing dangerous behavior. This is not about punishment — it’s about preventing the next tragedy. Thank you!
