I’d love to see Lot 3 parking be all underground connected to Metlox, with retail or restaurants on the ground floor, and a public rooftop with both indoor (glass for the view) and outdoor areas. The indoor rooftop space could be rented for private events to generate revenue. It could also host public events featuring lectures/visual and performing art events/literary events. These can include both paid ticketed events as well as occasional free community events. The outdoor rooftop space can be free for public use when the indoor space is not rented. Maybe even install a temporary outdoor ice rink during the holiday season, if space permits.
I hope the MMB Blvd lot will include mixed use of parking/retail/restaurants. Is it possible to use the same contractor/developer as Metlox? Metlox is so well planned and visually appealing. It’s a successful mix of parking, public, medical and retail space.
