6. 15-0462 Request from the Parks and Recreation Commission to Discuss the Salute to the Troops Event and Community Sunscreen Lotion Dispensers (Parks and Recreation Director Leyman).
APPROVE
On the sunscreen issue, I can find only 3 cities currently providing this service (Boston, Miami, Pittsburgh). All had health community sponsors to pay for it. One had problems with cheap containers clogging, that needed replaced. If you want to greenlight this, I would suggest you recommend limits to only appropriate advertising (although no advertising is preferred). Also, I would suggest a mandate that the BCHD be first approached for sponsorship.
