I fully support Suzanne Hadley as our next mayor. I’m a new homeowner in MB and she has welcomed myself and my family with open arms. Any delay or cancellation of her mayorship would be shameful.
Councilwoman Hadley has disqualified herself from a leadership role. Her ideologically-driven stance on Covid-19 related issues is dangerous and insensitive. She has already demonstrated that she is a loose cannon with the potential to embarrass the city of Manhattan Beach and damage the city’s working relationship with the school board.
My wife and I bought a house and moved to MB in June. We were immediately won over by Suzanne Hadley’s reasoned and family-oriented approaches to the unique challenges of 2020. We fully support her for mayor of Manhattan Beach.
I wish to express my support for Suzanne Hadley to become our next Mayor in December 2020, in accordance with our City's long standing process for selecting our Mayor. This item should never have been placed on the council agenda. It is driven by pure partisanship among some members of our city council. Any attempt to delay Ms. Hadley's appointment is misguided. Please follow our well established city rules and traditions and immediately appoint Mayor Pro Tem Hadley as our new Mayor.
have been a resident of Manhattan Beach for 47 years and a Manhattan Beach business owner for 43 years. I voted for Suzanne Hadley and I am not aware of any factual basis why she should not rightfully take her place as Mayor, as this is a long standing tradition in the city of Manhattan Beach.
My name is Peter Yollin, I have been an active member of our community for 25 years. I, like many of our friends and neighbors, cast my ballot in good faith in voting for City Council. I fully understood the structure of our city government expecting each of you to rotate in and serve as Mayor, and I still do.
I know Ms. Hadley and she is a person of great honesty and integrity. I fully support Suzanne Hadley as our next Mayor.
Finally, "Cancel Culture" has no place in Manhattan Beach.
I fully support MPT Suzanne Hadley becoming our next Mayor. The process of serving as Mayor has been a recognized tradition for many years. Ms Hadley was elected to City Council because she represents a a large portion of MB residents.
I am hopeful that the vindictive nature within City Council will end this coming January.
I'm a 65 year resident of MB, 40 year business owner and 36 home owner.

I optimistically assume that Item 11.a is to simply explain to the public the reasoning for the simple, peaceful handing of the gavel to Mayor Pro Tem Hadley. Discussions of either deviating from or more formalizing the 9-month rotation system should be brought up on another day for future transitions.
My name is Brandon Witek, MB resident for 9 years. I offer my full support for Suzzane Hadley to take her elected rotation as Mayor. Please Do NOT break our 50-year tradition and deny Suzzane her rightful rotation as Mayor!!!
We are 32 year residents of Manhattan Beach. We support Suzanne Hadley because of her qualifications and her advocacy all things that make our city a great place to live. We fully expect that on Dec 1st she will become our Mayor following historical precedent. The council must reject attempts to change traditional mayoral succession resulting in divisiveness rather than fostering non-partisan behaviors which have served us well in the proper functioning of our city.
George and Michele Reppucci
I have lived in MB for almost the entirety of my 25 years of life, and I strongly oppose Suzanne Hadley becoming our next mayor. Despite the allegations that her naysayers are trying push partisanship onto the otherwise non-partisan city council, we are doing the opposite. Hadley has made ignorant and blatantly partisan remarks on numerous issues, and as a resident, I don't want to see that kind of person be granted the title of mayor. Partisanship has no place on our council. No on Hadley.
Please do not disrupt the historic and established process of rotation of council members into the Mayoral position.
Such a change would be harmful to the City of Manhattan Beach.
I have lived in Manhattan Beach 30 years. While on a temporary professional assignment, I plan to return. I continue to own a residence in MB.
I have lived in Manhattan Beach since 1987, with Suzanne Hadley as my neighbor since 1999. I have always seen integrity, honor, respect and love. I voted for Suzanne to represent me and my family as Mayor. I expect her to take the next rotational Mayoral position as has been done for 50 years.
I support Council Member Suzanne Hadley rotating into Manhattan Beach's mayoral position. Ms. Hadley's dedication, commitment and hard work should be honored and respected while democracy upheld. It is disappointing to think each time we disagree with the views of a fairly elected Council Member, we can suppress their progression.
My husband and I have been residents of Manhattan Beach for 21 years and we strongly support Suzanne Hadley for Mayor of Manhattan Beach. There is a five decade tradition in Manhattan Beach that the city council members rotate being Mayor. I voted for Ms. Hadley with the expectation that she would be Mayor. I want to encourage the city council members to stand strong and not allow those people that may not agree with Ms. Hadley to deny her the right for her turn as Mayor of Manhattan Beach.
I strongly support Suzanne Hadley for mayor. I have been a resident and business owner for over 33 years here. The mayoral rotation has a long history that supports and represents the voters that elect the council members. The political shenanigans to deny Suzanne is so distasteful and it hurts our city. We do not need this divisive intolerant energy here.. Everyone gets a turn - so stop being so childish. There are MANY better uses of all of our time. Enough!
I strongly support Suzanne Hadley for mayor. Cancel culture is not democracy. Sorry for those residents who feel Suzanne doesn’t represent them, or MB. “Countless” residents (1000s+++) feel she does & voted accordingly. Suzanne is not a racist & residents who support her are not racist..period. We support the Democratic system that represents the city, county & country. Suzanne is duly elected by residents and deserves her rightful mayoral rotation. Heidi Rayden Tobias, MB resident
I strongly support Susan Hadley for mayor. We need her dedication and common sense. The electorate should remember those council members seeking to deny her this traditional succession, and deny them any future political power.
Do not to appoint Suzanne Hadley as our next mayor. We’re facing unprecedented challenges amidst a global pandemic and Hadley has repeatedly proven that she does not have the necessary qualities to lead our city through this crisis. What she dismisses as “gaffes” and “unvarnished positions” in fact reflect a pattern of behavior that will continue if she's appointed mayor and will reflect abysmally on MB. We can't afford to have Hadley as our representative. We can and we must do better.

I’ve been a resident for 14 years and I strongly support Suzanne Hadley for mayor.
